Who Sent You
We all know when some people have natural flair in any arena. You can see it in music, sports, comedy, business, debate, and even preaching. Some people are gifted. Some people are sharp. Some people can talk. Some people can move a room. But that still does not mean God sent them. Scripture says: “How shall they preach, except they be sent?” — Romans 10:15 That one verse destroys a lot of church celebrity culture. A man can have talent and still be unauthorized. A man can have charisma and still be corrupt. A man can have Bible vocabulary and still mishandle the Word. A man can draw a crowd and still not be sent by God. I’ll say the ugly part out loud: A whole lot of fake poser preachers helped mess up the Word in people’s minds. Not because the Bible failed. Not because God failed.
