When the true God of the Bible calls a prophet, human weakness is met with immediate divine comfort. The hallmark phrase of Biblical revelation is "Do not fear."
When humans fall out of awe, God’s messengers gently touch them, lift them up, and restore their strength (Daniel 10). God does not require physical trauma or violence to prove His authority.
In stark contrast, Islam’s own highest historical sources (Sahih al-Bukhari 3) record a terrifyingly different reality for Muhammad's first revelation. There was no comfort. Instead, an unidentified entity forcefully seized him, choking and constricting him three separate times until he was entirely exhausted.
The encounter left him traumatized, trembling, and questioning if he was demon-possessed.
Before anyone leaves weak counters in the comments:
- No, Daniel fainting from awe is not the same as being physically choked by an entity. The angel immediately raised Daniel up in peace.
- No, striking a persecutor like Saul blind as correction is not the same as terrorizing your own chosen prophet.
One spirit brings peace and raises you up. The other brings oppression and leaves you in dread.
Truth is clear. Choose wisely.
